Most items will remain unchanged and remain how they do in the games due to their mechanical workings, however there is a list of those that DO change and are just used as simple charms for good luck and other such things. These items do not have any effect, and are superstitions that have lasted since ancient times. Items that boost move types will always remain unchanged, due to mysterious infinity energy and how the Pokémon is innately able to tap into this energy.

Oval Charm: Used as a fertility charm among Breeders and Day-care centers that work as breeding centers, alongside human dwellings or medical & daycare facilities for the same reasons and for good health of children. These items are usually hung in the corner of doorways or above on a ceiling in human buildings. Generally inexpensive, running for 1.5k Avro due to its popularity and beliefs. It will always be an egg shape and common colourations are usually based on the Chansey line, Audino, Indeedee, or Comfey; although many others such as the Togepi line are becoming more common to see among patterns of these charms. Some homes have been spotted seeing patterns based on an Eevee or Sylveon, with their residents believing their Eevee blessed them with healthy children.

Shiny Charm: A type of good luck charm that can be sold in shops. It held some ritual relevance in the ancient past, but in the modern day is simply a trinket one can put a wish into for finding specially coloured Pokémon. Tends to be intricately made and varies in price, although trainers can expect to spend a minimum of 5k Avro while higher end ones can run for 30k Avro or more depending on materials used to make or how custom one is. Its colourations vary between sellers and custom designs, but all charms have a star-shaped design as its main piece, with the star having between 4-8 points on it based on where it was obtained.

Catching Charm: Trainers simply see this charm as something that may increase their luck in capturing Pokémon in general. Parents generally give these to their children before they begin their journeys for good luck. Prices vary in stores, often being fairly cheap and running between 650 - 2k Avro. It varies in colour, and is often a rounded triangular stone as its main piece. Many people opt to use Victini as the colouration due to the triangle shape and Victini’s long-standing association with victory and success dating back to ancient times.

Survival Charm: Often used in the mountains or other treacherous terrain to ward off dangers, and to hope it breaks instead of an individual going missing due to popular superstition that negative energy flows into it instead of the person, channeling their bad luck into the stone and protecting them from what could have been. Prices are identical to the Catching Charm, as they’re just as common gifts from parents to children, often being sold together. Colours and shapes vary from sub-region to sub-region based on cultural influences, and is often a way to see where a trainer obtained their charm from due to this.

Experience Charm & Share: This item still functions as it does in universe with some changes. The experience shared between party members isn't split into even parts or boosted with the use of the charm. The charm is what is called the EXP. SHARE in universe, and is very expensive, upwards of 25k Avro at minimum up to an eye–watering 500k Avro. The experience share will provide 5-20% of the total experience the lead Pokémon gains after a battle, depending on the age and quality of the item. Older charms will provide less experience than newer ones of the same quality, leading people to believe that the boost on these charms is limited. Scientists have tried to make breakthroughs into making the items have a permanent effect, ending in failures each time. The design and colouration will vary upon the quality of the charm, often ranging from a hexagonal to a decagonal shape. A League-issued Exp. Charm will always be an iridescent light pink decagonal charm with iridescent rainbow beads, as these are the highest quality made charms exclusive for those working as Gym Leaders, Elites, Champions, or other League-appointed positions. These versions cannot be sold in stores, and those found selling them are heavily fined if not arrested for illegal distribution.
(Word of Creator: Successful research into making a charm permanent will NEVER happen, always ending in failures. The closest they have come are the ones exclusive to League-appointed employees, and they are imperfect as well.)

Keystones & Mega Stones: Keystones are an item a trainer obtains to affix to themselves for their Pokémon undergoing Mega Evolution, while Mega Stones are attached to their Pokémon via some sort of harness or securing devices. Unlike the games, Mega Evolution is permanent, and Keystones and Mega Stones facilitate a stable growth trainers keep these items with them at all times. Neither of these items can be purchased by the public, and must be licensed by the Pokémon League. However there have been illegally owned Keystones and Mega Stones, often used by criminal organizations. Dynamax Bands and Wishing Stars fall under this category as well, as they are the same thing.
