Morgan comes from the world of Pokémon, although this is a timeline set 2 years after the events of Scarlet & Violet and involves bonding with legendaries like that of Surfacage’s comics, though further expanded upon with some other background supernatural elements inspired from the Pokémon Adventures manga series. These can be found here for Titan Bonding & here for Psychic abilities.
She’s an established trainer with two full sets of badges who focuses (but is not limited to) on Ghost, Dark, Flying, Fire, and Ice Type Pokémon primarily; but has the deepest bond with her Ghost and Dark Type Pokémon.

Family History & Crest
The clan’s founder, Kaguya, spent her early childhood sickly until she was a teenager, when she was sent off to a village that produced the wife of famous Oda Nobunaga, Nohime, betrothed to one of the woman’s brothers. Kaguya would be treated by the man she was sent off to marry, eventually regaining the ability to walk and breathe without gasping. However, this isn't just because of his doing, as Kaguya would have met Giratina before this and befriended it and tamed it in time. Though unknown at the time to the people, she and the legendary Pokémon would have come to form what is known in modern day as a "Bond". It is around then that the Sakurai family name would then grow once discovered that Kaguya had a talent for strategic planning, surpassing many of the men, much to their disdain, as a woman had yet to best them until her. Due to this, the Sakurai shifted from a no-name patriarchal clan to a well-known matriarchal clan.
Kaguya, in time, would go on to show her Psychic prowess and ability as a Spirit Seer to strike fear into any who would threaten her family, her husband, and children, especially, having the legendary Giratina by her side. This, along with her talent for strategy, would enable the clan to evolve into the wealthy family it is today. Her prowess would also spare her from humiliation, as her family was granted higher status due to impressing her sister in law with her skill and her cleverness, owing to some victories for Nobunaga’s ambitions.
In the present day, the family resides outside of Celestic Town, owning and managing a shrine dedicated to Giratina, along with having a large private estate. The current family head is Natsuki Sakurai, with her granddaughter, Morgan, as the heiress and next family head, due to Morgan's mother, Koemi, passing that over to her daughter to focus on her scientific research and company.
History
At the age of four, Morgan was attacked by a Tenacruel, which caused her to have a scar on her waist and stomach from the stinger and as such, developed PTSD of the line that triggers a panic attack on sight if Inari is not in her immediate vicinity to have a tail from her wrap around her arm to ground her and keep her calm. This fear extends to Jellicent and Frillish, although she does not have the same adverse reaction to them as she does towards Tentacool & Tentacruel, but instead is reserved and hesitant with them, rather than panicking outright; anxious but not panicking. Despite her fear of Tentacool & Tentacruel, she doesn’t hate them and understands fully that they’re just what they are, but the trauma she experienced as a child has lasted with her, even with the therapy she has had. Had it not been for her mother’s Seviper, Morgan could very easily have been killed by this attack, but the snake defended her trainer’s daughter with ferocity.
Morgan also had difficulty making genuine friends due to varying circumstances. One reason is that she came from a very wealthy, old family, and as a result, people would see the money over Morgan herself. She was also bullied as a child for being overly friendly towards ghost-type Pokémon, whose company she was drawn toward due to her special gifts. The few genuine friends Morgan made, she held close, even wishing to travel with them once her class could set off on their journeys.
When she turned twelve, Morgan set off on her journey in the region of Sinnoh with a Rowlet as her Starter and her Vulpix, Inari. For some time, Morgan would also travel with one of her classmates by the name of Umeko Matsui before the duo split off to do the gyms in different orders, considering each other rivals and keeping in touch. Her journey was relatively uneventful, collecting both Pokémon as well as badges, challenging the League, though losing to the Champion after a hard-fought battle. Morgan would then, after a year of restlessness, continue and challenge the Hoenn League, making it to the last of the Elite 4 and losing against them. This did not, however, stop Morgan from wanting to battle or train Pokémon, but only furthered her desire to study and learn. Morgan would travel to other regions, capturing and observing other Pokémon in their habitats before traveling back home to the outskirts of Celestic at the behest of her grandmother at age 18, where she was to learn how to handle the politics of Old Family as the family's successor due to Morgan's mother passing that onto Morgan instead to focus on her research. By the age of 22, Morgan would once again turn her gaze to travel, and fortune had seemed to favour her as her mother had a request and an offer for her:
An opportunity to study strange occurrences in ancient ruins in the now-deserted island region of Ransei, as well as study left-behind research, even if that research was steeped in nefarious origins. This offer was given by Morgan's parents themselves, knowing their daughter was a successful, and competent, trainer who could handle any dangers that arose; and could be trusted to report findings to a research team.
The journey to, and during, Ransei was not without its hardships, as Morgan would have to do this practically on her own while a small outpost would house the research team and keep communications open. Ransei would, in fact, turn out to still be occupied by both people and terrifying Pokémon alike.
The PokĂ©mon encountered would be things that would shake Morgan to her core, being never-before-seen monsters bearing resemblances to multiple creatures in one, which she would learn were abandoned experiments, fusions. While some of these fusions were harmless and seemed to be healthy, the vast majority would be horrors upon horrors in many ways that would leave Morgan sick to her stomach, and even injured in one instance due to a rampaging fusion of Tyranitar, Hydreigon, and Tyrantrum charging her. She would be knocked unconscious and, upon waking, would find herself in an abandoned facility with Inari and ValentĂa plastered to her side, and her arm in a sling and in pain. Luckily for her, it had just barely avoided a break, although it did need to be treated. Even more confusing for Morgan, there’s a young woman at the other side of the room eyeing her intently. This woman, Morgan would find out in her time on Ransei, would be bad luck despite the apparent good luck.
This young woman reveals herself as the one who rescued her, though the details about her would remain vague outside of his name: Achlys Setsushi. Neither of the two Pokémon out of their Pokéballs trust the girl, and as a result neither does Morgan, despite her saving her life. Achlys would go on to escort Morgan around the local area, although she would be dodgy or vague about questions, not even revealing if she was one of the local researchers; going as far as leading Morgan away from any research camps. Morgan would consider this suspect, leading her to keeping her Staraptor out at all times even while using her Houndoom to ride upon, using the excuse of having the bird able to be eyes in the air and record area locations due to a tracker. Typical research cover to hide her suspicion, and a believable enough half-truth as the bird already had been doing this before the incident.
This suspicion would prove to be correct, with Achlys revealing herself to be a Rocket who had been following Morgan after spotting Mew following Morgan, something Morgan herself did not know. This would lead to a traumatic event where Achlys would use a horrific fusion of Tentacruel, Dhelmise, and Dragonair to try and capture her but lose control of the creature; leading to an even worse threat that would awaken Morgan's standard Psychic abilities:
An ancient, angry shiny Rayquaza, waking up. This Rayquaza in particular was the one, Morgan would find in an uncontrollable vision of the past, was the same one commanded by a distant ancestor of hers. That ancestor had been Oda Nobunaga, meaning that this dragon was over a thousand years old.
It is during this time that Mew would come to Morgan's aid, Achlys would be defeated by the Rayquaza & horrific fusion, and encounter a pair of individuals who spoke a language she could only barely understand that would send the Rayquaza away. A language that sounded vaguely Mizuhoan, but distinctly older with elements of some modern Mizuhoan mixed in. The duo, looking identical to a pair in her vision, Morgan would come to find out were the exact same pair: Nobunaga’s sister, and Azai Nagamasa. Somehow they had become Fallers through time, and landed in the present 4 years ago with a young Arceus clinging to Oichi. What Morgan's vision didn't tell her, is that Oichi could heal others with a surprising, if not terrifying, ease with little backlash to herself. History had records she was a Healer but not the extent of how strong of one she was. Oichi would turn out to be a one-in-a-million rarity with her Healing gifts, with none on record possessing this extremely rare Healing ability. At least, none publicly recorded. The Warring Era, it could be assumed, birthed some of the most powerful Psychics of their times, as Morgan’s own direct ancestor was among the most powerful Spirit Seers of that era.
Achlys would never be seen again, her fate unknown although assumed that she was pulled to the depths by the fusion she couldn't control. Morgan wasn't about to go find her, either, due to her fear of the monster having recognized the Tentacruel in the fusion.
For the next 4 months, Morgan would rest, make contact with the base camp she landed at to give updates on her research and the woman who had attacked her, and do more light research as she would try and communicate with her rescuers in the remnants of an ancient building that had repairs done to it. It is during this span of time that Morgan would form a Bond with Mew, learning that the sudden explosion of awakened abilities would kill her if it wasn't under control. All Mew wanted in return was to travel and view the world, as she had previously been bound to Ransei hundreds of years ago before the last residents had left, and with a new pact formed, Mew could finally leave; the Bond would be beneficial to both with Mew being able to help control the newly awoken Psychic abilities and Morgan giving her freedom. Mew, additionally, acted as a translator for the trio of humans via the psychic powers the species was known for.
After those 4 months were up, Morgan would return to base camp, and find that the friend she traveled with a decade prior would be one of the researchers that came to the continent. She had known that Umeko had wanted to become a researcher during her travels and had known the woman was sent on a research mission, but was unable to give Morgan any key details due to the nature of the mission. Morgan now understood the reason why she couldn’t, since Ransei was shrouded in mystery to the general public. As well as not being able to tell anyone about Mew, at least not yet. Bringing up Oichi and Nagamasa was also questionable. Morgan, however, would put her trust in Umeko and ask her to come with her after 2 months, stating that Umeko would benefit from studying the ruins Morgan had stayed at and be able to research the lake near them.
This time, Morgan’s trust wouldn’t come back to bite her, it would prove beneficial:
It would allow her to be able to report to the researchers her findings without the need for hesitation or skirting questions. It would also allow her to be able to put in for a call to the League and explain her situation, privately, about how she had come under the ownership of a Mew without requesting permission first and that she had become a Bonded. Morgan was given a short exam, primarily a formality, to grant her temporary legal ownership to the Mew until she could return to take the official exam for ownership. Contacting the League had also allowed Morgan to report Fallers from another time, and claiming that these were people she was related to, requesting that she could watch over them due to this; which was granted. No one would really want to try and put an ancient warlord under some kind of house arrest and it was best they would be with the Sakurai family due to their history. However, the Azai family would need to be notified as well, as Oichi and Nagamasa were the main family’s direct ancestors while the Sakurai family were distant relatives via Oichi’s descendants marrying into the Sakurai family. This would prove difficult later on, with the fame the eldest Azai daughter had achieved.
During this time, and even before Umeko had been introduced to the pair of Fallers, Morgan had been attempting to teach them the modern form of Mizuhoan so that they could speak at a basic level with her and the others. Morgan had done this due to knowing that neither she nor them could remain in Ransei forever, as much as Nagamasa and Oichi would want to; although they would be permitted to return after strings had been pulled for the three of them under strict conditions and rules they would have to follow. One of these rules would be that nothing that happened in Ransei could ever be public knowledge, and another was that not even Morgan's family could have explicit details outside of what she'd been in Ransei for. Mew would have to be explained by having been entrusted with one by officials after it kept following Morgan. However, the most difficult thing to agree to was Oichi's Arceus she appeared with being legally owned by the woman, something that was difficult to explain with how rules worked in the modern day and not how things worked back in hers and Nagamasa’s time.
It wouldn't go over well for months, but an agreement would eventually be reached once Morgan returned to Sinnoh with the two in tow. Oichi and Nagamasa would remain on Sakurai grounds until they could get used to modern times, and even be granted their own rooms in the main house.
Morgan herself would remain at home for half a year after her return from Ransei, training under Psychics to further control and focus her abilities enough to keep them under control enough for them not to be hazardous.

Abilities
Morgan was born with the ability to communicate with not only Ghost-Types, but also see, control, and communicate with the dead in general. This ability falls under a class of Special Psychics called Spirit Seers, often feared and hated for their connections to the dead. She would later on end up awakening her standard Psychic gifts after a traumatic experience that would change her life forever, and end up having her form a Bond with Mew. These additional Psychic powers are those of a telepath and a clairvoyant, ones which she is learning to control through practice and guidance.
Personality
Morgan can be described as somewhat aloof, cold, uncaring, and dismissive at first glance and interaction; and while that is seemingly true, it is relatively far from the truth.
Morgan is simply someone who is reserved and a bit shy and awkward at times. This has varied factors, but the majority of this is due to her family name as well as having been mistreated as a child for her abilities as a Spirit Seer, and often feared special ability, which allows one to see and communicate with the dead, as well as control ghost-type Pokémon. Morgan, despite her reserved nature, is a very passionate individual around the right people, caring deeply for her friends and family as well as Pokémon.
While Morgan does often distance herself from people, she does not hate them. She would prefer the company of Pokémon, creatures that do not judge her for her abilities or see her as a walking ATM to withdraw money whenever it suits them. This, alongside a more lasting reason, was due to her being called a freak due to her abilities by a group of children her age that were in a similar status as her after seeing her be, to them, unusually communicative to the Drifloon her family had when she was around age 6 or 7. This, in turn, caused her to have difficulty making friends as well as the other children, although she did make some friends who didn’t care about her status or gifts, eventually.
Due to people having done this in the past, Morgan is more on the reserved end of accepting friendship, with her thoughts drifting toward another using her. In her youth, this caused significant trust issues, although as an adult, this has waned and does not bother her as much as it used to.
While she doesn’t actively seek every person out to befriend them, if someone approaches her or strikes conversation, Morgan will reciprocate by striking conversation or responding to it, even if she can be shy or awkward in certain areas, such as being flirted with. Morgan is someone who, if you get the conversation going, will engage and keep the flow going as best as she can. Especially in cases where someone isn’t being rude and genuinely takes an interest in the conversation at hand. This, at times, can be difficult due to how her face can sometimes set into a “resting bitch face” without her realising at times, although most times it’s deliberate in doing so out of habit of people seeing her tattoo and doing one of two things: grovelling or cozying up to her to get something from her.
Despite her not actively seeking every person out, Morgan will on occasion approach others if something catches her interest or if someone needs help. Quiet and distant though she may be, there are many things that pique her interest that can have her make conversation; though she does prefer the company of her Pokémon.
She will not stand to see Pokémon or their typings in general get mistreated or abused in any form. Being drawn to the Ghost Type due to her gifts, she is also very much drawn to a very unfairly demonised typing: Dark Types. If anyone is harassing a person or Pokémon who trains or is of that type, Morgan will lose her temper and come to the defense of the type or person being harassed for it. This is one of the only few times she will threaten a person with her family name and her status to get them to back off. Even if the Dark Type is uninvolved and people or Pokémon are being harassed or abused, it will not sit right with her, and she will do her best to stop the wrongful treatment towards whomever is receiving it. Even if it does mean pulling Status on the individual, something she dislikes being forced to do in the first place.
Despite coming from a wealthy family of Old Money, Morgan treats everyone with respect, something she was raised to do and reminded that it would be disgraceful to treat others cruelly. A lesson she took to heart. To her, a person’s worth lies within who they are as a person and not who they are via their bloodlines or conquest. However, she will show respect and humility to those of higher status or authority around her, as she was raised to treat them with such.
